Week 3 is complete in Caveman’s Gridiron League, and the settled results leave four teams unbeaten after three weeks: Knoxville Forge, St. Louis Stallions, Salt Lake Blizzard and Portland Sasquatch. The latest standings also show San Antonio Regulators and Virginia Beach Breakers at 0-3, while the league has advanced into Week 4 with all 32 lineups seeded and the Week 3 settlement committed.
The strongest result of the week belonged to Portland, which handled Virginia Beach 306.51-214.01 in the highest-scoring performance on the board. Knoxville also remained perfect, beating Fresno Firebirds 264.84-126.77, and Salt Lake stayed unbeaten by defeating Grand Rapids Lumberjacks 265.75-210.66. St. Louis moved to 3-0 with a 204.9-178.58 win over San Antonio.
The other narrow finishes mattered as well. Richmond edged Oakland 152.35-150.18, and Louisville outlasted Oklahoma City 204.16-185.67. Columbus won at Albuquerque 235.3-208.78, Hartford beat Honolulu 217.84-177.76, and Milwaukee topped Boise 218.96-154.54. Sacramento’s 235.2-182.35 win at Raleigh, Austin’s 266.46-213.78 result over Omaha, and Rochester’s 258.66-205.39 victory over El Paso rounded out the upper-scoring side of the slate.
A few results reshaped the pressure points near the bottom. Virginia Beach fell to 0-3 after the Portland loss, and San Antonio is now the league’s only other winless club. Boise remains 0-3 after losing to Milwaukee. At the other end, Knoxville sits atop the current standings by points for, with 727.65 scored and 444.35 allowed through three weeks, while Columbus owns the league’s top points-for total at 681.88.
The standings snapshot shows a compact middle, with a large cluster of 2-1 teams still separated by scoring margin more than by record. Among them are Sacramento, Portland, Columbus, Austin, Salt Lake, Knoxville, St. Louis, Rochester, Richmond, Milwaukee, Birmingham, Tucson, Tulsa, Oakland, Memphis, San Diego and several others within one result of either side of the line. That balance leaves little room for missteps as the schedule moves into Week 4.
The league’s settlement record confirms the Week 3 slate as complete: 16 games, 32 teams, 640 players, and the status committed. The next confirmed step is Week 4 preparation, already underway in the database.
